On September 18th, 2026, TCVSA held a Salute to Service Tailgate at the Waverly Central School District's Veteran Memorial Stadium for a pre-game Tailgate between the Waverly Wolverines and the Owego River Hawks.

We were joined by Veteran's and their families from all throughout Tioga County, to connect them with TCVSA and the abundant resources and services made eligible to them from their military service.

Attendees received free commemorative tickets to the game. Veterans from the Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, and War on Terror were honored to conduct the "Coin Flip" to kick-off the game.

Saturday, September 26th, 2026, TCVSA held our 7th Annual Ruck for Them 5k Walk/ Ruck. We were joined by many Veterans, families of Veterans, and community supporters for a spectacular turn-out to help bring awareness to the "Stop 22" campaign and help end the national Veteran and Service-Member suicide rate of 22 per day.

Pre-Ruck Breakfast was generously provided by Cops for a Cause, our amazing post ruck picnic catered by TChill's Smokin' Barbecue, and a fantastic musical performance by Ryan Wilson was enjoyed by all. A huge "Thank You" to the Tioga County Legislature and our County Administrator; Their support makes these outreach events possible and helps us connect Veterans and their families to resources and services. We also had volunteers from the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club: Punishers Apalachin New York Chapter, and the Guardian Belles Law Enforcement Riding Club: Borderline Chapter to provide traffic control and serve lunch to our attendees. 

Our information fair had representatives from the Tioga County Suicide Prevention Coalition, Smile Through the Storm, and Grief Share.

This year's "Ruck for Them" has seen its highest turn-out yet, and would like to thank all of our attendees, volunteers, and community supporters for another successful event.
